In collaboration with Compton Cowboys, West Palms Events, Shelburne Farms, and Compton Junior Equestrians, Jessica Springsteen donated her talents and training skills for an exclusive 2-day clinic at the esteemed Shelburne Farms in Hidden Valley, California. Jessica Springsteen is a lifelong equestrian who started riding lessons at age five, like me, and has risen through the international competition ranks as a Silver Medal Olympian and one of U.S.A.’s top jumping athletes with a world-renowned reputation.
Jessica won the Olympic Team Silver Medal, €500,000 Rolex Grand Prix CSI 5* at Brussels Stephex Masters riding RMF Zecilie, and the CSI2* Grand Prix at Saint-Tropez in September 2023 riding Tiger Lily. More recently, Jessica Springsteen and Don Juan van de Donkhoeve helped the NetJets U.S. Jumping Team win gold in the Mercedes-Benz Nations Cup at CHIO Aachen. In August 2024, the pair also won the Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of London CSI5*.
I was honored to have the opportunity to ride for and train with the Compton Junior Equestrians and be a part of this once in a lifetime, an exclusive and intimate 2-day clinic and fundraising event with Jessica Springsteen. My friend Michael Leon Wooley came out to the barn to help us with the Live Auction, and we successfully raised awareness, and over $15,000 for Compton Junior Equestrians in collaboration with Compton Cowboys.
