Change may be a sign of progress…but it’s also super hard.

Updated: Oct 24

Looking to the end of February 2024

Well, lots have changed since the Jessica Springsteen Clinic in December with CJE and where I'm at with my riding. My lease with Soldier quickly comes to an end and we’re sending him home to Temecula soon and the CJE program is disbanding without much explanation to us younger team members.  I think we’ve found a new barn to relocate to and I will begin working with a new trainer. And we may have found a new horse for me to buy.  I will be going to Temecula to drop Soldier home and then head to another barn to try out a potential new horse to consider.

So, with the start of 2024, there will be a lot of changes taking place.  I’m hopeful that the new horse will work out, the new barn and trainer will work out and that I will be able to compete more and reach my competition goals and even get to represent my new school, Viewpoint, successfully in the IEL competitions.  I will miss the rest of the CJE team members and I will always consider them all friends to me. I appreciated the experiences, riding with them with pride and all that trainer Victoria has taught me. I wish all of my CJE team members the best and I hope I will see them at future shows and events. We were all a part of something very special and I enjoyed being with them.
